We do expect market to pullback briefly before resuming its upward momentum. Do note that high oil prices are boosting the OIL & GAS stocks, namely Keppel Corp and Sembcorp Marine.

Corporate Announcements:

  • Keppel Corp announced a first quarter net profit of $346 million, a 7.8% YoY increase.
  • UOB’s Sydney branch plans to sell A$350 million 3-year unsecured bonds due May 2014 announced a first quarter net profit of $41.4 million, a 269% YoY increase.
  • CapitaLand sold its entire 40% stake its TCC Capital Land Ltd to its joint venture partner TCC Land Co. for US$78.2 million.
