Ho Bee is going ex-dividends on this coming Thursday at 2 cents.

STI tested support at 2576.09. It did a “V” shaped recovery. There is a short term resistance at 2647.64

In Summary

Today’s traded volume has achieved high of 3.64 billion. Market early recovery of losses signifies that it is resilient on the downside. Currently we are more concerned with the resistance at 2700.

Today’s market open in GREEN, however, it is unable to sustain the run and is going sideways now. Nonetheless, we have a good profit taking for Hyflux; others remain in open trades and pending orders as stated in our Quick Picks.

Afternoon Highlights

Banyan Tree pending order has been triggered and is running pretty well. As Banyan Tree and Genting are more in the Hotel Sector, high chance that Genting will start to run soon too. Watch out for both shares!

We are waiting for Ezion to break out. And we have also identified a new potential stock Hiap Seng that broke out the high of 0.47. Currently we are waiting for retracement.  [Quick Pick 11 –14 show the potential stocks that we are keeping close tabs on].

In Summary,

Market manage to trade off low of 2532.33. Though the short term support (refer to STI 15Mins) is tested, recovery is quick to redeem it. It can been seen that despite market uncertainty, the Mid Cap Sector outshines Blue Chips.

On weekly chart basis, current market is going through correction. Over the past few weeks, we see 3 white candles formed. This signifies a very strong bull trend. Thus, high chance that once the correction is finished, up trend will resume and break high of 2700.78. Till then, just watch out on the blue chips since they have impact on index points.

Our Focus For Today is on Mid Cap

Hi Everyone,

The market dropped quite a fair bit yesterday and continued its plunge this morning, approximately 33 points from the high and low. 2542.34 is the short term support.

Our advise is to stay out of the choppy market at the present. You may choose to rest for the day.. take a break, relax and gear up for the next round. Nonetheless, we’ll still update the blog accordingly if we have any new discoveries.

Afternoon Highlights

Hobee break high of 1.15 with high volume. Aggressive traders can choose to BUY at 1.16, Stop Loss at 1.03 and Take Profit at 1.29. Conservative traders can wait for setup first.

Lookout for Genting. This stock manage to recover most of the losses incur after yesterday’s sell off. To buy at 0.92, Stop Loss at 0.845 and Take Profit at 0.995. (see chart for more explanations)

In Summary,

The pending order for Genting did not trigger today. We are still holding to our pending order. As you can see, the shares are still in consolidation, but mid caps are stronger than blue chips.  Let’s see how the market perform tomorrow…
